Asians Getting Involved (AGI) is an initiative that seeks to get more Asian Americans involved in their communities. Because of the submissive nature of Asian culture, it’s difficult for the younger generation to feel like they are allowed to be opinionated and loud. AGI seeks to unpack this by providing representation through a database of Asian Americans working in their communities. My visual system utilizes illustrative elements with bold colors to make community engagement exciting and approachable.

ENGAGEMENT

It’s easier to be engaged in something when you find people to be engaged with. The website serves as the main "umbrella" of the AGI iniative, where individuals can find the organization's mission, access the database, and the Instagram page. The biggest component of the website is the database of Asian American activists that anyone can use as inspiration to be involved in the causes they’re passionate about. Whether it be simply for research or finding tangible ways to be involved in one’s area, the database makes it easier to see that Asian Americans are doing some great work!
